Dr Khan is a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience in general, forensic and addiction psychiatry. He has developed and delivered innovative services for people with complex mental health, alcohol and drug-related needs across the UK.

His clinical expertise includes the assessment, management and delivery of complex psychiatric presentations including alcohol related needs. He has a particular interest in Adult ADHD and is a member of the United Kingdom Adult ADHD Network (UKAAN). Dr Khan completed specialist training in General and Forensic Psychiatry, with an endorsement in Addiction Psychiatry.

Dr Khan’s specialisms include Mood Disorders – depression, bipolar affective disorder, seasonal-affective disorder, Psychosis – schizophrenia, schizo-affective disorder, paranoia, drug-induced psychosis, pathological jealousy, Personality Disorders, Adult Attention deficit; Hyperactivity disorder, Anxiety Disorders – including generalised anxiety disorder, panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorder, adjustment disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD), Severe childhood (prepubertal) physical and sexual injury/trauma, Eating Disorders, Peri-natal psychiatry – including post-natal depression and psychosis, Drug & Alcohol disorders, Deliberate self-harm, Family & Relationship problems, Chronic Illness, Conduct disorders, Mentally disordered offending and Psychiatric sequalae from trauma – including neglect, Childhood sexual and emotional abuse.
