Dr Lanka has over a decade of Consultant-Level experience across neuropsychiatry, forensic psychiatry and liaison psychiatry, with clinical expertise spanning organic brain disorders, cognitive impairment and complex psychiatry comorbidity. Dr Lanka previously held national leadership roles with Cygnet Health Care, including Regional Medical Director and Chair of Neuropsychiatry Service. He has contributed to the national framework and pathway design for complex Mental Health rehabilitation.

He has prepared over 200 expert witness reports since 2014, including for criminal, civil, family, Court of Protection, employment tribunals, and Mental Health Review Tribunals. His medico-legal instructions often involve brain injury, functional neurological conditions, capacity to litigate, fitness to plead, and psychiatric consequences of trauma or degenerative disease.
